Santa Rick

All my life I have loved the very idea of Christmas and all it represents. Having been raised in the church I first learned of the religious significance and as time progressed, I became aware of the social aspect of the person we all know as Santa Claus. I just could not wait until that magical time each year and I was always one of the first in my neighborhood to have my Christmas list prepared and ready to mail to the North Pole. As I visited with Santa each year, I became more and more aware of how very special he is in the lives of children and adults alike. Time and again I would see him dispense his special kind of love and understanding to boys and girls alike and to see the excitement in their eyes as they would leave his presence. I knew then, at a very early age, that I wanted to be Santa and could not wait until the time came when I could learn how he shared his special magic with everyone.

As 1970 rolled around I was given the opportunity to portray Santa for my family and if the bug had not bitten me before I was all in now. It was very clear to me on that first appearance that when a child looks into Santa’s eyes, they are actually examining your very spirit. What a privilege it is to be able to share the Spirit of Christmas with a child and their family and know that when I leave them, they feel that they have actually been in the company of Santa Claus, a true legend.

Many years later I am still feeling this same excitement as I make appearances with families, groups and organizations around the country. Over the years I have made appearances in Europe, Asia and of course here in the United States. For 8 seasons I appeared at the Bass Pro Shop in Lawrenceville, GA.  For the past 5 years I have had the privilege of appearing at the Brickell City Centre, for NBC 6, Hard Rock Hotel, the Biltmore Hotel and numerous homes throughout the Miami area.

It is my fondest desire to be the very best Santa possible and ensure that those I visit will feel the magic and spirit of Christmas long after I have gone. To hone my skills as Santa I have attended numerous Santa schools to include the oldest Santa School in the nation, Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School, Midland, Michigan. All of my suits are custom made as is my casual attire to ensure that the first impression is a lasting one.

I would truly like to be a part of your Christmas celebration and would ask that you review my information on this web site.
