As a dancer for almost 20yrs, T-sha has had exposure to many different dance styles. According to her mother she has been dancing since she was a baby, but she didn’t formally take classes until age 9. Born and raised in Rochester, New York, T-sha started off learning Jazz, Tap, Ballet and some Lyrical. Once in college she studied Ballet and Modern the entire 4yrs there, as well as taking classes in Afro-Caribbean and Irish. After college she studied mainly Salsa for a year, in addition to some Merengue and Bachata. Once moved to Florida in 2007, T-sha focused on the art of Bellydance and has continued to hone that particular style. She also has taken Hip-Hop classes and has had exposure to Contemporary dance.
It is her belief that one MUST expose himself/herself to all genres of dance to even aspire to be a great dancer.
As mentioned, T-sha has many dance genres to pull from, but she specializes in Bellydance and Jazz.
A huge fan of the hit show “So You Think You Can Dance?” T-sha has auditioned for the show multiple times, encouraging others to try out as well. She has also taken work-shops from past contestants of SYTYCD.
